 Hey ede65, You can buy key codes by vin thru www.Americankeysupply.com. Take a look at www.aloa.org for certifications. There are not many states that require licensing. You can google your state or look up your state labor licensing board. What machine did you buy? Instacode is very good software. We have been using them for a while. We just switched to genericode because it came with a new machine.

 You mean the pin codes? Can't you read them with the maxisys?  I know there are several cars we can read the pincode from with the MaxiSys.

I am working on this since a week (key adding, adjustment, new key learning, fob re-sync, etc.) also and find it a little of a hazard to go through all car functions to see which one do have this support and which ones not (yet). If not enough are available will need to get extra tools :)
